The Senate and House are still in recess. They will be in their home states and districts
until April 11.
There is still time to ask for a face to face with them or their staff. Get them at home.
Ask both your Senators to become cosponsors of bill S.2743 The Cold War Service Medal
Act 2009. Ask them to have in placed into the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)2011.
Ask your Representative to be a cosponsor to H.R.4051 The Cold War Medal Act 2009(this is
identical) to the bill in the Senate. And of course ask to have it included in the NDAA 2011.
The Cold War ended in 1991, how much longer should these veterans be forced to wait for
this recognition? As the days go by, so do the veterans. We grow fewer every day, maybe
that is what Congress is waiting for. The end of the Cold War Veteran. After that no
more "old guys" bending their ears.
Let's do it now, this year should be the year to remember these heroes.
